Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder + 1/2 teaspoon for frosting (we used Chamberlain Coffee's Ceremonial Grade Matcha Tea Powder)
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons of coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil + 1/2 tablespoon for frosting
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips
- Coconut flakes
Mug Cake Recipe Instructions
- Find a cute ceramic mug, like our Matcha Heaven Mug.
- Pour the 2 tbsp of sugar + 3 tbsp of flour + 1/2 tsp of matcha + 1/4 tsp of baking powder in the mug and mix
- Pour the 3 tbsp of coconut milk + 2 tbsp of coconut oil + pinch of salt into the dry ingredients and mix again
- Wipe down the sides of the inner mug
- Place mug into the microwave and heat up for 1 minute and 30 seconds
- Allow it to cool down before adding your toppings
Matcha White Chocolate Frosting Recipe Instructions
- Use a double boiler. If you don't have one, take a medium-size glass bowl (or any heat-resistant glass will do) that can sit nicely on top of a sauce pan
- Boil water in the double boiler or in the sauce pan
- Add about 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips + 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil + 1/2 tsp of matcha into the bowl
- Place the bowl over the boiling water and mix the ingredients with a spatula. Feel free to add more coconut if the mix isn't as smooth, or more chocolate if it's too thin.
Assembly Instructions
- Take a small spoonful of the frosting and spread it around the top of the cake
- Sprinkle a small amount of the coconut flakes on top of the frosting
VOILA!
